A Hopeless Sea Shanty
01:34
|
|||
I understand, when you talk there is a cause that I can’t comprehend, you dumb it down for me
I’ll take your hand, and lead you down the garden path of sorrow, and misery
Walk with my dear, I’ll show you all the bad and rotten thoughts, inside my head
Sing with me darling, we’ll sing a song of love and lust and remember, all hope is gone, all hope is gone, all hope is gone

Murder In The Suburbs
02:10
|
|||
All these years, All these years of marriage, All these years of carrying your weight
Oh god, you know I stood by you through every crisis, through every night you came home late
You say I’m being paranoid
Darling my love for you runs so deep
Deeper than the depths of the Mariana Trench
And now you’re spitting in my face with the secrets you keep
I lie awake at night, just trying to make sense of it all
You say I’m being paranoid
Alright now dance
Now you wanna walk out on me
Darling that’s a bitter pill
Have I got an ultimatum baby?
If I can’t have you nobody will
You say I’m being paranoid
You are a Liar
You’re a Headfuck
You’re a Heartless Beast
You’re a Monster
You’re a Traitor
You’re a Lecher
A Cheat

Heathen's Heaven
03:44
|
|||
When the depths of humanity sank to depravity
No one even batted an eye
And when you clearly see the desecration of the sacred
You might think it time to intervene
Lion headed men behead the powerless mice
No safety outside or even in your house
The time to repent has long since passed
Bloodshed raining down on all those undevout
Now you're standing on the cliffs
On the precipice
They're dancing in a ditch
So devilish
I hope they don't remember this
Heathen's Heaven
When the crops dried up and the fires came in
The people began to starve and pray
But there ain't no mercy for the fairweather followers
So the sky blacked out and there was hell to pay
Snake skinned men behead the powerless child
Well there’s nothing to be gained in a world gone wild
And every time you sneeze, every time you cough
It isn’t a disease, it’s your violations catching up

Burden Of The Bee
00:49
|
|||
Oh my darlin’ can’t you see
I have the burden of the bee
I feel my venom filling up
I swear I would die if you got stung
There’s a darkness in me which no one sees
Floating away in the springtime breeze
Hold me but beware my love
I swear I would die if you got stung

Fanatic
03:32
|
|||
I was lost with no purpose
I was acting like a leaf in the wind
I’ve been a walking ghost it’s only now that I’ve truly begun to live
You brought me in with open arms
Showed me how to see the light
I finally have something to work towards
I’m finally getting some peace of mind
Keep coming in a little closer prospect
Put your heart into these hands
Wear the crest of your new family
Everything that you once had is gone
I found prophet was calling
Calling for the soul to be served
Wash me clean me heal me
Of my x x x burns
You hold me close, hold me gently
Changed me how to feel the light
I finally have you to be thankful for, I’m finally taking some time
Keep coming in a little closer prospect
Put your heart into these hands
Wear the crest of your new family
Everything that you once had is gone
There’s no room for doubts or flaws
We’re all here living for the cause
One heart, one mind
And anyone who doesn’t trust in our way will be left behind
Keep coming in a little closer prospect
Put your heart into these hands
Wear the crest of your new family
Everything that you once had is gone
Oh now what a mess
The creatures crawling out of the internet
They’re tearing at the problem

No Future
03:48
|
|||
Dive into the future that you’ve promoted
Just a rotten husk with glossy plastic coating
They’ll say ecocide was cast aside as a fantasy
Your name will be spoken in this breath that’s your legacy
Imagine the people washed away by a tidal wave
Imagine your children hiding out amongst the acid rain
1000 warning signs can just be brushed aside
When you say that this can just be dealt with this some other time
Strangers calling out for help
There’s no future in the world that you have built
Figure it out on your final revolution
Repent your soul with deathbed absolution
With a second to go try cutting the explosive
Were we always left that cinematic closure?
Cause even when we’re staring down the barrel
Behind the screen nothing seems as imminent
It’s so easy to place no value on the living
When you can make the sacrifice for your better debt
Strangers calling out for help
There’s no future in the world that you have built
I have no sympathies left
For the way you choose to live
Future-proof yourself
Remove yourself from it

I Know You
03:33
|
|||
I catch your eye
I’m feeling nervous and remarkably shy
I know I’m not your type
But I figured we could give it a try
I think I know you better than you know yourself
You’re all alone
I thought that maybe I should follow you home
You told me stay away
But if we never try then how could we know?
You have no idea what you are missing out on
I could make you happier than anyone
You’re distressed
Am I deluded, is there something I’ve missed?
It’s such a beautiful dress
I know you’d love me if you gave me one kiss
You have no idea what you are missing out on
I’m gonna make you happier than anyone

Something In The Dark
03:21
|
|||
As I lie in bed a chill passes over me although all of the windows are closed
And despite the icy air in here I find myself sweating through all of my clothes
Get it together c'mon you gotta get rest
Forget about the feeling of the weight upon your chest
The moonlight creeps around the room and makes shadows where it’s been
And every time I catch something moving in the corner of my eye it disappears as soon as it’s seen
Then I see something just standing there
And I can’t move and I can’t speak
And I can’t tell if I’m asleep
This thing comes over and it leans in to comb my hair with both its hands
I try to shake it off, I don’t know what it has planned
Tears are streaming down the side of my face
And still I remain frozen; trapped in place
As the room goes darker my screams and shouts return as strangled breath
I feel my blood start to go cold, I feel the biting spike of death
Then my vision starts to fade
And I can’t move and I can’t speak
And I can’t tell if I’m asleep

Uncle Jack
02:52
|
|||
Folks don’t come round here like they used ta
The roses don’t smell so good anymore
Nothing but twisted metal, piles of trash as far as the eye can see
I got my Pitbulls, Winnie Blues, VB and the UFC
I used to be the king of this town you know?
Best and fairest down at the club 3 years running, no one could touch me
Had one run in with that red headed little fucker down at the pub now everyone thinks I’m a criminal
I got my Pitbulls, Winnie Blues, VB and the UFC
What did I expect? Lived in this town my whole fucking life
I should have known rumours spread like a fatal disease round here
Started off with a backwards punch to a cunt who had it coming, now I can’t even leave the house without being scrutinized
I got my Pitbulls, Winnie Blues, VB and the UFC

Vacancy
04:27
|
|||
You used to use me as a crutch
Far beyond your reach I still feel your touch
It still makes me blush
But the memory of your face escapes my clutch
Everyone’s wearing masks in this building
They’re making menacing faces at me
They’re laughing and pointing their fingers
They get satisfaction out of my misery
Where was I?
Matter of fact, where were you?
I'm chained to the bed by gravity with not a single goddamn thing to do
Just remember now
Fear the vacancy
Space and time
Haunts me like the past
The past that I can not find
Trickling through my nervous system
Wearing me like a suit
Who's behind the steering wheel
This does not compute
I’m wandering through the atmosphere
I’m searching for home
My hippocampus broke down
On the side of the road
I'm working off the senses just to get the thing to start
But honestly I need a ride before it gets dark
Where was I?
Matter of fact, where were you?
I'm chained to the bed by gravity with not a single goddamn thing to do
Just remember now
Fear the vacancy
Everything falls apart
I conjure up an image of your face
I get abstract art
I don't think I've got the heart
I’m fading faster heading for disaster
As I leave you
Everything fades away
I conjure up an image of your face
But you just won't stay
And I lose myself everyday
I’m fading faster heading for disaster
As I leave you see
You used to use me as a crutch
Far beyond your reach I still feel your touch
It still makes me blush
But the memory of your face escapes my clutch
Everyone’s wearing masks in this building
They’re making menacing faces at me
They’re laughing and pointing their fingers
They get satisfaction out of my misery
Where was I?
Matter of fact, where were you?
I'm chained to the bed by gravity with not a single goddamn thing to do
Just remember now
Fear the vacancy

Australian Nightmare

David and Amanda never had a car break down before
Now they were stranded with no petrol in the middle of the Nullabor
With just enough food to last one more night
And water they could ration out to get through the week
They had cell phone service
There was not a single person in sight
The two Americans had been stranded in the outback for days
When a shadowy figure starts to make its way out of the haze
It was a rusted 1980 Holden pick-up truck
With a headlight out and a busted front
But beggars can’t be choosers
So they could not believe their luck
The window winds down as the car begins to approach
They see a man with wispy, tangled and dirty black hair
He opens his mouth to reveal a rotten, fractured smile as he says
We can’t have you lot sufferin’ out here
The couple then began to introduce themselves to the man
He said some call me a stranger but youse two you can call me Dan
He had a tape that played a religious motivational speech
He had rips and tears in the hard leather seats
And he told them how the frogs don’t croak around these parts anymore
When they arrived at Dan's place Amanda said to David we should go back
They saw a corrugated iron, dilapidated, rusty old shack
Dan turned and beckoned them to come inside
They wrestled with the idea of stealing his ride
But maybe they were being shallow and probably overly concerned
As they enter on the rotted floorboards they see magazines from the 60’s
There are jars of strange fermenting things perched on every surface
The stuffed head of an emu glares at them with cold dead eyes
They get a feeling that something isn't right
Rats in a cage
Amanda grabs David and runs to the door it’s locked
and from underneath the floorboards they hear a knock, holy fuck
The rapping on the wood is now met with a shriek
Sounds Like a colony of bats crawling out of their habitat
Amanda screams and David grabs the pot plant beside him
Starts bashing the door, and as he does all of the lights dim
Fight of flight kicks in for both as they begin panicking
Dan has disappeared now and they’re not sure what’s happening
The scratching and screeching starts getting startlingly closer
And with the new proximity comes a sulphurous odour
Crashing on the door all the weight they can muster
David and Amanda break through with such a desperate bluster
They run towards the car like they are two olympic sprinters
Hearts are beating faster as they start bleeding from the splinters
Eyes keep appearing all around them in the dark
And they finally make it over there to where the car is parked
Thankfully they see the keys are still in the ignition
Lightning quick the two dive in and get into position
They start the car, foot down completely on the accelerator
Steam then starts pouring right out of the radiator
The windows smash as both of them are dragged out of the vehicle
In the dark, and under pressure their assailants are unseeable
The last the thing they see are their own innards all red and black
And the last thought they have is “I wish we never came to the outback”
